DBT - Dialectical behavioral therapy
DBT incorporates a mindfulness practice developed to help people cope with extreme or unstable emotions and harmful behaviors. DBT is an evidence-based approach to help people regulate emotions.
MAT - Medication assisted treatment
Combines behavioral counseling with prescription medications to ease withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, and depression, supporting recovery from alcohol or drug addiction.
Motivational interviewing
A psychotherapeutic approach attempts to move an individual away from a state of indecision or uncertainty and towards finding motivation to make positive decisions and accomplish established goals.

SMART Recovery uses a science-based, secular 4-point system with cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational techniques to help individuals overcome addiction to substances or activities.
